One of my friends who commented on the blog asked if your conscience was really a little person who lived inside of you. Now obviously that isn't completely true, because a person can't live inside of a person. But it did start me thinking. What is it that makes your conscience always know whats right? Besides that, when are you supposed to listen to it, or the authority telling you to do otherwise? Someone once told me "Your conscience is like a baby. You have to nurture it, keep it healthy, clean, and feed in order for it to grow, mature, and work for you..." If you haven't noticed, some people don't seem to have a conscience at all. They can do horrible things seemingly without remorse. I don't think that this means that they don't have a conscience, and I don't think that their conscience doesn't say that what they are doing is wrong. I think that the person has the ability to drown out their conscience. Our culture today doesn't help. It portrays "the ideal person" as the one who is fit, tan, athletic, popular, and (most of all) busy. If we are so busy that we don't take the time to ever relax, destress, and basically clean out all the muck that has accumulated throughout the day, our conscience can become lost in all of that "clutter".
Other people don't hear their conscience because they have learned to ignore it. They have basically "cut the telephone line". Not even a super human (well, okay, maybe a super human) can hear someone on a telephone that has a cut line.
Maybe we should stop and relax, and then get to our "spring cleaning". Call the repairman if you must. But our consciences are something that this society cannot live without. Believe me, other societies have tried, and failed. Miserably.

PS- how do you get your picture to show on school blogs... I can't seem to figure it out...
I think that your pic is either hard to follow (URL I mean), or the school blogs have filters on somehow. I don't know.
